Federally Employed Women National Training Program 2023 - Ready, Set, Grow!

For the first time since 2019, the Federally Employed Women (FEW) National Training Program (NTP) convened in person in Columbus, Ohio, following three years of virtual conferences. Management Concepts was proud to support the event as a diamond sponsor, beginning with a welcome reception on Sunday, July 9, and wrapping up with the last day of training sessions on Thursday, July 13.

The 2023 NTP theme—“Leveling Up for Success: Ready, Set, Grow!”—perfectly encapsulated the energy and enthusiasm of conference participants over the course of the four-day event, from first-time attendees to long-time returnees. The event kicked off with a lively welcome reception Sunday evening and an equally inspiring plenary session on Monday morning, followed by the grand opening of the exhibit hall and the first breakout sessions.

Management Concepts staff were ready to greet FEW members at our booth in the exhibit hall, with information on the professional development opportunities available and newest courses and services to advance their careers, from our ever-popular suite of leadership and management courses to services such as coaching and mentoring.

Over the course of the next three days, Management Concepts presented four complimentary sessions from our Professional Government Supervisor Program, a customizable group training experience that prepares leaders at all levels for career growth, with over 30 modules aligned to Executive Core Qualifications. This year attendees had the option to select from four modules: Fostering a Public Service Mindset, Thinking Strategically, Diagnosing Performance Issues, and Making Effective Decisions.

During the Presidential Awards Ceremony and Banquet, Management Concepts also had the pleasure of awarding a Scholarship Opportunity through a competitive process open to FEW members to apply to enroll in and complete a Management Concepts Certificate Program at no cost. This year’s winner was Ms. Stacey St. Holder of the US Department of Education, pursuing the Grants Management Certificate Program™—Federal Track.

In all, it certainly was a week of leveling up and setting FEW members up for growth and success in their careers. We’ll see what other great things FEW has in store for its members in 2024. Until then, check out event photos on our Facebook album, and keep up with Management Concepts partnership activities with FEW throughout the year on our FEW Association Partner page.
